Education Agency Adds 18 PAUDs with Public Status

All PAUDs can be accessible for free by the public

Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) has added a dozen PAUD locations with Public Status spread across several institutions in the capital.

According to Nadiana, Head of Jakarta Disdik, those PAUDs were one TPA at the Disdik office, one TK at SDN Kemanggisan 01, four TPAs at PD Pasar Jaya, one SPS at the Hasyim Ashari Mosque, and thirteen one-stop PAUD-SD and SPS unit services at the urban village and sub-district offices.

Up to 2019, there had been 100 PAUDs consisted of 67 TKs, 13 TPAs and 20 SPSs. As for the 13 TPAs and 20 SPSs were located at the City Hall, Mayor, Sub-district and Pasar Jaya offices.

"Students recruitment prioritizes children aged 5-6 years who have not registered with any PAUD institutions, come from pre-prosperous families, and the closest residence distance from the PAUD location. All PAUDs can be accessible for free by the public," she said, when being confirmed, Tuesday (12/8).

By so, it was expected to help children grow and develop at a golden age optimally.

"We keep striving to strengthen and develop and expand access to quality early childhood services in all regions," he stated.

Based on the data of the Culture and Education Ministry's Education Data Center (Dapodik), as of August, Jakarta has 3,964 registered institutions, with various types of services consisting of 1,960 TKs, 353 KBs, 20 TPAs, and 1,631 SPSs.
